PP. 205-218.  Between 1910 and 1940, postcards with literary quotations praising the beauty of Italian cities and landscapes were in vogue. Postcards of the places visited by poets were accompanied by their verses. Some poems were instead associated with anonymous natural landscapes. The spread of these postcards reflected a patriotic feeling. During Fascism, many postcards with some verses were published depicting redeemed territories like the Trentino Alps as a sign of growing anti-Austrian sentiment.
